Project Overview

Tails Farewell Downtown Toronto is a pet aftercare and memorial space designed as an expansion of the brand’s existing GTA presence. The project required a different spatial approach from the Markham location, responding to a more urban customer base while maintaining the brand’s emphasis on privacy, dignity and emotional comfort.

Key Design Considerations

• Create a calm and respectful environment for a sensitive customer journey

• Translate an existing brand into a distinctly downtown Toronto setting

• Balance privacy with a welcoming arrival experience

• Avoid a clinical or conventional retail atmosphere

• Use material, lighting and millwork to create warmth and visual restraint

• Maintain brand consistency while adapting to a different customer profile
